The mission of Mary’s Touch is to remind us of the grace and unconditional love that Mother Mary brings to us and the world. What better way to do this than through the eyes and hearts of our children?

What is "Through the Eyes of a Child"?

Mary's Touch outreach program, "Through the Eyes of a Child," provides children with an opportunity to share their own personal stories about Mary. Through their images and words, these children remind us that Mary is our role model. She can take away our fears, help us in everyday situations, and bring us peace in our hearts. Sometimes children say it best. As Matthew tells us, “Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in their midst” (Matthew 18:2).

The children’s stories we collect are used in the Mary’s Touch radio program and, along with their drawings, are used on the Mary’s Touch Web site. They are also being compiled into a book that will be published later this year. Sales of The Healing Touch of Mary Through the Eyes of a Child will further assist in underwriting the production costs of the Mary's Touch radio show.

At the same time, "Through the Eyes of a Child" assists parochial schools and faith formation groups in addressing their fundraising challenges. Stories and art collected from two parochial schools were used to create booklets for each of these schools. Students were given copies of the books, and extras were provided to the schools for fundraising. Additionally, Cheri Lomonte visited the schools that participated in the program, where she gave talks and did book signings, sharing the proceeds with the parishes to further assist their fundraising efforts.
