Program 1.34—You'll hear about Tom. His
faith journey led him right to Mary. Even though he wasn't Catholic, he

Patty. Her little sister was very ill and in a coma, but she experienced
a miraculous awakening after her parents administered healing water from
Lourdes.
Program 1.35—The first story is from Pat. At a young age, she needed a mother, and of
course, Mary was there to love her unconditionally. What she learned at
the age of seven she now shares with her RCIA class: that in those
special moments in our lives when we need our Heavenly Mother, she is
there for us...
…and you’ll hear from America. She is a nurse who helps her patients
bear their own suffering by remembering how the heartbreak Mary endured
through the death of her Son can inspire others who suffer.
Program 1.36—You'll hear Father Kevin's
beautiful story. He longed to know Jesus and love Him, but it was really
getting to know Mary that brought him closer to her Son...
...and you'll hear about
Esther, a dynamo of a woman who has great faith in Mary's power to heal!

“Mary’s Touch” receives Ecclesiastical Approbation
On July 16, 2007, Cheri
Lomonte received word from Monsignor Mulvey, Vicar General of the
Diocese of Austin, that, after rigorous review, an ecclesiastical
approbation had been conferred on “Mary’s Touch.” In his
recommendation, Father Rai, diocesan theologian, wrote,
“Not only do I find no
problem with the doctrinal content, but the whole project seems to
me a positive and practical commentary on Chapter 8 of
Lumen Gentium. It
illustrates faith from life, particularly from the experiences of
ordinary people. It corroborates what the Council says on Mary’s
continuing motherhood…I have been reviewing theological materials
for many years now, but this is the first time I have ever been able
to come back with an unqualified Yes. I highly recommend Mary’s
Touch. I believe it is a work of grace, and more than succeeds in
what it sets out to be: inspirational.”
What a blessing this is! We are humbled and so grateful for the many
blessings that have been given to us…most especially for this
blessing from Bishop Aymond. It has inspired us to rededicate
ourselves to the mission of Mary’s Touch: to advance Our Blessed
Mother’s “Yes,” to bring a greater understanding of her Son, Jesus,
and to remind people of the grace she still brings to this world.
Thank you for supporting our work
and for listening to “Mary’s
Touch!

GEMS
On
Sunday, October 7, 2007, GEMS hosted a fundraising event in Dallas,
TX benefiting the new GEMS Academy of Gabriel Project.
This
program assists unmarried pregnant women and single mothers by
providing classes in parenting skills, literacy, education, and
career and financial planning. Women are taught to how to become
self-sufficient and build self-esteem. GEMS also provides assistance
with grooming, makeup, and dressing for success, which helps women

talents and abilities. Additionally, for those contemplating
adoption for their children, GEMS provides counseling and
assistance. All of these services help women to be better mothers to
their children.
We at
Mary’s Touch, were pleased to assist the GEMS fundraising efforts by
providing assistance between GEMS coordinators and the Emmaus
