Mary's Touch Program 2.48: Cindy and Sandy "I knew I was not dying, but I felt like I was. In this chronic pain condition, I reached out to Jesus, and I began to experience Him in my life. Within six months, I was off the medications and no longer seeing a plethora of physicians. Christ was in my life, and I knew He had answered my plea for healing...but what I didn't realize is that I was also going to be saved...." In this show, you'll hear from Cindy. She was a family therapist who grew up in a Christian home; but as an adult, she didn't have any real faith. At the age of forty, she became very ill. As a last resort, she began praying to Jesus for healing—and she was healed! Later, when her father became ill, Cindy prayed again—this time, to our Blessed Mother...to ask her Son to heal him, too. And He did... ...and you'll hear from Sandy. When her daughter, Kristen, was four, she became ill and experienced a grand mal seizure. While her friend put a rosary in Kristen's hand, Sandy prayed to Momma Mary for help.
Mary's Touch Program 2.47: John and Father Edward Dougherty "'I wasn't living a life worthy of the Gospel. I was basically doing my own thing because I didn't know Jesus. You can't love someone you don't know....By getting close to our Blessed Mother, she softened my heart and opened me up to what is true and what is real and what is important, which, ultimately, is a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ..." This show features a story from John. He was a career-driven media personality who thought mostly about climbing the ladder to success and partying all the way up. After he saw a documentary on our Lady of Fatima, his life began to change...so much so that he would go on to do great things for Christ.... ...and you'll hear from Father Edward Dougherty. He talks about Mary and how she is the model of human, Christian faith. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.46: Father Willy Raymond and Steven "...He suddenly started sharing something wonderful with us. He told us that he could see coming toward him the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, and he said, 'I think I know who it is...and there are many others with her.' At that moment, something truly beautiful happened: His daughter reached over and touched him and said, 'Dad, if you would like to go with them, please do so. Don't be afraid. We'll be fine here. We know you are going to something wonderful.'" In this show, you'll hear from Father Willy Raymond, Director of Family Theater Productions. He tells a deeply moving story of how he saw a dying man comforted by Mother Mary and then taken home to Christ... ...and you'll hear from Steven. Though he received his education in Catholic schools, he did not know—or understand—the Catholic Church until he developed a relationship with our Blessed Mother. Program note: For more information on Father Willy's ministry, visit www.hcfm.org and www.familytheater.org. For more information about Rosary Stars Praying the Gospel, visit www.rosarystars.org.
Mary's Touch Program 2.45: Drew and Mark "'Throughout history, from the first century of the Church, there have been reports of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother...to St. James in Saragossa Spain right up to our present day, and apparitions are not a new phenomenon. They have occurred throughout history. You know the Old Testament—apparitions, manifestations, Theophanous, epiphanies have occurred to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to Moses, to Noah, to Lot, to John. I believe these are times of special grace; and I think as evil rises, grace abounds all the more. What I found historically is that in times of great trial and great crisis, God, in His loving mercy, has always sent us His Mother." In this show, you'll hear from Drew. Throughout his career in Catholic media, he has spent his time examining the apparitions of our Blessed Mother. He believes she is trying to tell the world something very important... ...and you'll hear from Mark. He converted to Catholicism at the age of 28 and has learned that "success" in living a holy life comes not from how holy you feel, but how hard you try. Program note: The music featured with Drew's story is "Savant" from Ultra Marine by Mani Sierra. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.44: Christopher and Carmen "I started to see the warts and how people's lives were not in order and all the Catholic teachings that had been hijacked by this group...and I thought, 'This movement is obviously fallible and even corrupt in some ways. The Catholic Church is the birthplace of these beautiful realities: the incredible St. Padre Pio, the visions at Fatima, the list the children gave of the holiness of prayer, the radiance of Mary.' So I gravitated away from the group and back to the Church." Our first story is from Christopher. As a little boy, he heard the story of our Lady of Guadalupe....a story that would remain with him like a calling card from our Blessed Mother. As a teen, he drifted away from the Church and fell in with the New Age Movement. When he discovered how much he was missing in his spiritual life, Mother Mary drew him back to his Catholic faith... ...and you'll hear from Carmen. When she was a little girl, her grandmother taught her to pray to Mary. At the age of 39, Carmen relied on the Rosary and the loving hand of our Heavenly Mother to save both her and her baby.
Mary's Touch Program 2.43: Michael Barone and Sister Emmanuel "The readings were about the prodigal son. The priest talked about how this man was literally at the end of his land, every day, looking for his son, and it was like this huge slam. God reached out and got me and said, 'Come back.'" In this show, you'll hear from Michael Barone, of St. Gabriel Radio in Columbus, Ohio. He talks about his transformation from seeking fame and fortune and performing on MTV to seeking Christ.... ...and you'll hear from Sister Emmanuel, who prayed to our Blessed Mother for a good husband. Little did she know that her husband would be Jesus! Program note: This program includes discussion on Medjugorie. Both Michael and Sally talk about the proper disposition that we as Catholics should have about Medjugorie, and Sally specifically reiterates the Church’s teaching during the e-mail segment. Many of the stories we encounter on our path to producing Mary's Touch involve Medjugorie, and we often receive questions about it. It seems appropriate to discuss it occasionally so we can all understand its meaning and place in our lives of faith. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.42: Sandy and John "I prayed, 'Mary, right now, I am consecrating my daughter to you and your merciful heart. She's just on loan to me, but you are her mother for eternity. You can take much better care of her...'" In this show, you'll hear from Sandy. When her daughter started college, she began pulling away from her faith, living the party life, and doing things her own way; she thought she could do it without God. But through Sandy's prayers, Mother Mary brought her home... ...and you'll hear a story from a wonderful young man named John. He got sent to a community to overcome an addition. While he was there, he found his faith. Program note: To read Sally Robb's dedication prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, click here.
Mary's Touch Program 2.41: Mary and Lee "He said, 'I have brought shame to you and our family.' I prayed, 'Oh, Blessed Mother, I cannot tolerate the pain.' Then I embraced my son and said, 'What you did was wrong, but the baby is not a mistake....'" In this show, you'll hear from Mary. When her youngest son was nine, our Blessed Mother asked her to pray for him. Mary didn't know what that meant at the time, but when he was fourteen, her son was faced with a life or death choice. Those prayers and our Blessed Mother's example helped him make the right decision.... ...and you'll hear from Lee, who shares a great story that proves, if we only listen, things are going to turn out just right. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.40: Cathy and Marilla Ness "...I listened to my Rosary on the way to work, and it was Thursday; so it was the Luminous Mysteries. The first Luminous Mystery is the Baptism at the River Jordan; the second Luminous Mystery is the Wedding Feast at Cana. As I was listening to the Hail Marys, all of a sudden the thought came into my head that all Mary said was, 'They have no wine.' She didn't tell Jesus what to do; she didn't ask him to do a specific thing; she didn't give Him any instructions; she just went up to Jesus and said, 'They have no wine.' So I said, 'Lord, they have no wine!' Then I finished my Rosary." In this show, you'll hear from Cathy. She was planning a retreat and had to replace a speaker at the last minute. As things became more stressful, she was reminded of Mother Mary's simple statement, "They have no wine"... ...and you'll hear a charming story from Marilla Ness, a Catholic singer and songwriter who grew up devoted to Mary and now creates music for her.
Mary's Touch Program 2.39: Mike and Maria "I was a cafeteria-style Catholic—I took what I liked from the Church and left the rest...The only time I prayed was when I needed something—when I was desperate....But this time was different. My dad's death really rocked my world. Early one morning, when I couldn't sleep, I felt a gentle tugging to say the Rosary..." In this program, you'll hear Mike's story. He was a man who had fallen away from his faith. After he suffered injuries to his back, and then lost his dad, he was strongly drawn to what he calls, "The School of Mary." His love for our Blessed Mother now inspires him to write contemplative prayers for the Rosary.... ...and you'll hear the story of Maria. At the age of six months, her daughter was seriously handicapped in a car accident. The Beloved, Jesus, uses her daughter's beautiful gifts to help everyone around her. Program note: Mike has graciously provided Mary's Touch with some of his beautiful Rosary meditations. Click here to read Mike's Meditations on the Mysteries of the Rosary. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.38: Susan and Eduardo " It was Christmas night, and my husband and I were putting away the dishes, and he knew I was being called to the mountain....Our haven here is called The Silence of Mary. The people who come here are sent by Jesus. This is far from heaven, but it is as close to heaven as I can be until, hopefully, one day through God's mercy, I will be at home with Him." In this show, you'll hear the inspiring story of Susan, a woman who left the comforts of her mountain home to move into the inner city and open a haven for the homeless... ...and you'll hear from Eduardo, who should have died from an electrocution, but was saved because of Mary and the Scapular his wife asked him to wear. Program note: For more information about Susan and The Silence of Mary Home, visit www.thesilenceofmary.org/Home.asp. Mary's Touch Program 2.37: Vickie and Barbara "She said, 'You just sit there, and put your mind at ease. Think of the Blessed Mother. Think of a good moment with her.' So I did that." In this show, you'll hear Vickie's story. She was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in her foot and feared she would lose it. She brought a statue of Mary to a healing Mass...and you can imagine the rest of this real life story of Mary's love... ...and you'll hear from Barbara. She is a convert from Judaism. Mary led her straight into the arms of her Son, Jesus. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.36: Norma and Jim "Each day, a whole Rosary is said, all the Mysteries from Joyful to Glorious, and there have been many prayers answered: children coming home safely from Iraq, prodigal sons, surgeries, family troubles resolved, and many blessings. I attribute this to the intervention of the Blessed Mother and our prayer warriors because Mary has everything done in her own perfect timing." In this show, you'll hear from Norma. Her prayer group, over twenty members from the McAllen Public School System, have been praying the entire Rosary daily for the past five years. They pray for the intentions of others and have witnessed the results... ...and you'll hear a sweet story from Jim, who talks about the power of the Rosary in his life. Program note: For more information on forming a prayer group in your community, contact Norma at njvog@aol.com Mary's Touch Program 2.35: Adrienne and Sarina "My very first thought was no thought at all; it was tears running down my face in recognition that this was a metaphor I'd been using in all my professional work with parents and children, in understanding that our children are being drug away by the wolves of our culture. Here in front of me was a painting done by Giovanni di Paolo in 1456. I just stood there and wept. Finally, I walked up and read the inscription: 'Saints Clare and Francis of Assisi were known to restore life and limb to children drug away by the packs of wild wolves roaming the Italian countryside'." In this show, you'll hear the story of a woman whose reconversion to her Catholic faith was ignited by a painting she saw at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH). Adrienne had been away from the Church for 28 years. She came face to face with a painting of St. Clare, and it not brought her back, it reconverted her entire family.... ...and you'll hear from Sarina. After a stroke, her mother could no longer talk except when it came to praying the Hail Mary. |

Mary's Touch Program 2.34: Chris Kramer and Tracy "I started praying the Rosary and that led me back to Mass and confession. After about 14 years, I can't tell you how great that was to talk to the priest, tell him my sins, and hear those words, 'Your sins are forgiven'....I believe it has a lot to do with saying 'yes'—like the Annunciation when Mary said yes. The moment I listened to God's voice, I opened myself up to His grace and to her love and her heart, and my life changed for the better." In this show, you'll hear from Chris Kramer, an actor living in Hollywood. He shares his faith journey, which started with a Hail Mary... ...and you'll hear the story of a sister's love. Tracy prayed for her brother, who was suffering from a brain tumor. She asked Mother Mary to protect him and bring him love and peace. Her prayers were answered when he visited Lourdes. Mary's Touch Program 2.33: Brother Ken and Mark and Alesha "When I started to pray, my mind would wander....I would get two-thirds into the Rosary...completely forget what I was doing...and just give up. With my business background, I had the mentality: if you can't get it done this way, there's gotta be another way. So I took the enthusiasm from my business skills, and I said, 'Look, if I cant' pray the Rosary, at least I can do something to encourage a devotion to it.' My perspective was, if I made rosaries that were masculine and attractive and gave them to other guys, then I could spread the devotion that way. So that is what I did. I actually started making rosaries before I ever prayed one...." In this show, you'll hear from Brother Ken. He wanted to pray the Rosary...but couldn't. Through Mary's gentle guidance, he discerned his vocation to the priesthood... ...and you'll hear from Mark and Alesha, a married couple with two sides to the same story about his miraculous recovery from a stroke. Program note: We lift up our prayers for Brother Ken and his vocation to the priesthood. Not only has he said "yes" to God in prayer, he has said "yes" to God's calling for his life's work.

Mary's Touch Program 2.32: Francisco and Madonna "I found this Miraculous Medal of the Blessed Mother, and I held it in my hands. I would sleep with it and pray with it. I would pray to her that God would listen to me...." In this show, you'll hear from Francisco. He was spiritually and financially devastated following his divorce. His devotion to Mother Mary sustained him during his period of darkness... ...and you'll hear from Madonna. After uniting herself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, she was quiet. In that stillness, she heard His Mother's call to collect a group of women and start a prayer group. For the past two years, they have gathered once a month to pray for the needs of the world. Mary's Touch Program 2.31: Molly and Eileen "As I was kneeling there, I heard a voice in my head say, 'Wait a minute, Molly, you need to leave your babies with me'. As I continued praying, Mary put that on my heart again, "Leave them here. I will take care of them'...." In this show, you'll hear from Molly. She suffered a series of miscarriages. It wasn't until she paid a visit to Mary at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe that she realized she hadn't fully healed from her loss. Our Blessed Mother was there for her, and she still is.... ...and you'll hear from Eileen, who prayed to Mary for her own St. Joseph. Program note: For more information on Molly's book series, All Things Girls, visit www.runwaytoreality.org.

Mary's Touch Program 2.30: Tom and Daniel "As God would have it, I went on a retreat...and that really cracked open my heart....The Rosary became a very powerful part of my life, and I entered into a relationship with Mary as my advocate to God the Father and the Son....The Rosary became a part of my daily exercise, and a bunch of middle-aged Texas men—probably the furthest from the stereotypical group of people praying the Rosary—we would run together and pray the Rosary together." In this show, you'll hear Tom's story of how Mary won over his heart. He called the Rosary 'rope prayers and plastic beads', but through a retreat, God showed him how Mary is important in our daily lives... ...and you'll hear a sweet story from Daniel, a little boy who has strong faith, even at a very young age. Mary's Touch Program 2.29: Susan and Katherine "I was so desperately frightened for her, and one night when she was lying on bed, I sat by her and started praying...I gave her to Mary and I prayed, 'Please, Mary, walk with Meredith, keep her under your cloak, please petition to God that she doesn't have to suffer more than is necessary, and if she has to be taken, then please take her quickly so she doesn't suffer...' From that day on, Mary walked with us. I said the Rosary with Meredith every night before she went to sleep...." In this show, you'll hear the moving story of how Mary walked with a young child as she suffered brain cancer. Susan taught her four-year-old daughter to pray, and she gave little Meredith to Mother Mary... ...and you'll hear from Katherine. She received a great gift: a glimpse of heaven that very few of us receive.

Mary's Touch Program 2.28: Ellen and Gina "I was deteriorating rapidly...on 100% oxygen...they were taking six to eight liters of fluid off my heart, and the only thing I was doing was going to Mass....Through this experience, He opened my eyes to see how hungry people are....The greatest gift is the Eucharist we receive at Mass." In this show, you'll hear from Ellen. She had amyloidosis and needed a triple organ transplant to save her life. She was fading fast, but a chance encounter with a bishop renewed her hope... ...and you'll hear Gina talk about the sweetness of Mary's love in her life. Mary's Touch Program 2.27: Greg and Linda "I was about ten feet away from an opening in a parking garage, and I could hear the storm. I always carry a rosary with me...and. I remember asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to protect us because the hurricane that hit New Orleans a month earlier was pretty bad. I asked if she could send down as many angels as possible to protect all the people who had stayed..." In this show, you'll hear from Greg, a police officer who was on duty during Hurricane Rita. As the storm hit, he turned to Mary, through the Rosary, for protection... ...and you'll hear from Linda. She read about Mary's healing power through the stories of others. Little did she know that Mary would heal her own mother so deeply that she would become Catholic.

Mary's Touch Program 2.25: Julie and Bo "'I would take my seven-year-old son to church, and he would ask me why I wouldn't go to Communion with him, and it started putting in my face what I was doing wrong...what kind of example I was giving my son....'" In this show, you'll hear Julie’s touching story. She was living with her boyfriend, but Mary and the Rosary helped bring her back to the Eucharist... ...and you'll hear from Bo. Mary's Touch Program 2.24: Rhonda and Kyle "'Through the prayers of our Blessed Mother, you made it home safe.' 'Yeah,' he said, 'but I want to remind you that I had asked you to pray for all of my platoon.' 'Yes,' I said, 'and we did.' And then he said, 'Well, Mom...all of us made it home.'" In this show, you'll hear once again from Rhonda. In Program 1.12, she talked about how she dedicated her three children to Mary, even as her two sons went off to fight in Iraq. In this program, Rhonda talks about the power of prayer, especially the power of praying the Rosary, and how our Blessed Mother protected her son, Michael... ...and you'll hear from Kyle, a founding member of a religious order, Companions of the Transfigured Christ. In his story, he tells how the prayers of a friend and a miraculous encounter with our Blessed Mother changed his heart.
Mary's Touch Program 2.23: Lacey and Melba "In a life and death situation, it is so intimidating...you know so little about the mechanics of all this...it's much easier to turn to Mary; to her Son, Jesus; and to God in a time of crisis if you've been in touch with them on a daily basis..." In this show, you'll hear Lacey’s story. She was her beloved grandmother's caretaker. When her grandmother fell ill, the doctors didn't want to put her on a respirator...but Lacey's husband insisted, and through prayer and our Blessed Mother's intercession, Lacey's grandmother persevered... ...and you'll hear Melba's harrowing story. She and her family survived a terrible earthquake in Nicaragua. She knows they were spared through the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Mary's Touch Program 2.22: Milly and Mary S. "I kept praying not one Rosary, but two Rosaries...three Rosaries...and daily Mass...and I told Blessed Mother, 'I don't want anything, I only would like my husband to understand, I want to go back home; I am thirsting for the Eucharist, and I need your help.'" In this show, you'll hear from Milly, a woman who was away from the Church. She longed to come home, but she needed her husband's consent so that she could again receive Jesus in the Eucharist. When he refused, she entrusted the situation to Mother Mary... ...and you'll hear from Mary S. Her friend died before she could become Catholic. Mary was heartbroken, but then she was reminded that our Blessed Mother loves everyone.
Mary's Touch Program 2.21: Carol and Benjamin "I run an orphanage for AIDS orphans who are HIV positive. ...It's a place where they know they are loved. I realized that Mary is looking out for these children as if they are her own....You just can't forget that Christ is present in the most vulnerable, and when you think about what they endure day to day, you realize how extremely vulnerable they are, and you can say, 'These kids are little Christs, and I'm here to serve them.'" In this show, you'll hear about Carol. God called her to help HIV-positive children in India. She thought she might be there for just a short time. Little did she know how big her "yes" would be ... ...and you'll hear from nine-year-old, Benjamin, who sees Mary every day. For more information about Carol's work, please visit www.ifoundhope.org. Mary's Touch Program 2.20: Julie and Mary D. "My friend, Charlene, suggested to me that if I'm having trouble speaking to God, then perhaps I could start talking to Mary as my mother...looking to her for peace and comfort...to give her my fears. So every day for the past three and a half years, I've said a prayer to Mary." In this show, you'll hear from Julie, a woman who isn't Catholic but has a deep love for Mary, which has helped her to grow more in love with Jesus... ...and you'll hear from Mary D. A serious accident left both her legs broken, but she knew God would heal her.

She is a Catholic of American Indian heritage who experienced her own healing at the bedside of a dying aunt... ...and you'll hear from Jacquelyn, who turns to our beautiful Mother Mary as her role model of motherhood and receives inspiration from her as she raises her own three boys.

Mary's Touch Program 2.17: David Burke and Gaye "Whenever I'm going to write a song, I make sure I connect with Jesus, and one of the steps I use is repeatedly saying the Rosary. It's that intercession that Mary brings to me that makes that connection." In this program, Cheri and Sally visit with David Burke. He is so moved by his love for Mary that he writes music about her. Some of David's music is available free of charge for downloading at www.wewanttoseetheworld.com (click here to hear his beautiful "Hail Mary Prayer," featured on the show). Mary's Touch Program 2.16: Alan Graham and Pat "...it was at that moment the vision of a catering truck came into my mind as the possible distribution vehicle to go from those who have power and resources to those who have no resources and are powerless. Now, almost ten years later, we have twelve of these vehicles in five states, 10,500 volunteers going out every night of the week serving the homeless and working poor. We served the 1,000,000th meal last year..." You'll hear from Alan Graham, founder of Mobile Loaves and Fishes. Alan visits with Cheri and Sally and talks about Mary’s role in his ministry of feeding the poor and hungry. In this program, they also announce a joint project: Maryplayers, which are MP3 players with 20 stories from Mary’s Touch. The project launched in September 2008 when Mobile Loaves and Fishes volunteers distributed the first 100 Maryplayers to the poor and homeless... ...and we'll here from Pat. She has five children—ten years apart, the youngest, a set of twins. While devoting her time to her family 24/7, she prayed to Mary, Jesus's Mother, and that gave her the energy to raise her family.
Mary's Touch Program 2.15: Monica and Sharon "I just knew I was going to hell...I had committed the terrible crime of killing my own, innocent child....I poured out my sorrow...'please forgive me, Lord, and please help me to get over this pain.' ...The moment I cried out was the moment He revealed Himself to me..." Mary's Touch Program 2.14: Kristen and Barbara "It all came together in my mind, and I realized that everything I believed as a Christian was a gift from the Catholic Church. She was a Methodist minister, but she was drawn to the Catholic Church. It wasn't an easy journey to conversion, but Mary traveled with her... ...and you'll hear Barbara's story of her grandson's tragic death from a rare infection and her certainty that he is now with Mary and Jesus.
Mary's Touch Program 2.13: Paul and Lee "I grabbed my rosary and said a prayer to St. Michael to keep me safe and not kill myself or someone on the road. In this program, you'll hear from Paul. While he was driving, he experienced a heart attack. What could he do? Well, Mary stepped in and helped... ...and you'll hear from Lee. Mary's Touch Program 2.12: Father Christopher Crotty and Ruth "I was praying in front of a very ancient statue of Our Lady holding the Christ Child, and as I was praying, a woman came up to me and grabbed me and said, 'You must come with me.' So I followed her around the altar to a back hallway and a big door. She unlocked the door and said, 'You pray here.' The door led to a small chapel of Jesus Christ the Nazarene. I prayed there for about a half hour, and then I got up and blessed her. I think the grace of the healing ministry was bestowed there. You'll hear from Father Christopher Crotty about his mystical encounter at Fatima and his devotion to Jesus the Nazarene... ...and you'll hear Ruth's story. At 102 years of age, she is our eldest visitor to Mary's Touch, and she has a great love of Mary. (We thank Father Crotty for his prayers, and we ask you to join us in praying for his prayer requests.)

Mary's Touch Program 2.10: Sherri Davis "Those who pray have no fear, and that's a powerful statement from the Blessed Mother....Mary is so simple. She doesn't have an agenda....Just say to her, 'I need you. Show me how to pray.'" Sherri Davis visited Mary's Touch four times. Her unity with the Cross as she suffered, and her love and compassion for others who suffer changed the lives of everyone she met. In this very special program, we follow her journey. Sherri died on February 20, 2008, but the blessing of her life and her love lives on. In this final show with Sherri, we look back to the beginning and trace her path through the many graces, setbacks, sorrows, and we hear the incredible sweetness of Sherri's union with the Cross of Christ.
Mary's Touch Program 2.9: Anthony and Emily Ann "Wear the scapular. It's a sign and symbol of our Lady's love for us. She made Jesus's clothes—literally—and this is the clothing she gives us, her children...If you keep that scapular on, you're not going down. She will hold on to you." You'll hear from Anthony. As a young boy, he fell in love with Mary and began wearing the brown scapular. He wore the scapular throughout his life, even while he was away from his Catholic faith ... ...and you'll hear from Emily Ann. She was the wife of a Protestant minister. The healing power of the Rosary brought her to the Catholic Church |

You'll hear from Linda. She is a hospital chaplain who calls upon Mary in her work.
