The stories are arranged in no particular order, interspersed with full color photographs of Madonnas of every possible interpretation. I wanted more details of the artwork, who the artists were, and where they were found. They seemed to range from the well-known—Michelangelo's Pieta was easily recognized—to others that seemed to be from small village churches. The stories vary from a short paragraph or two to longer narratives of several pages. Each has a similar theme—Mary helping them in times of trouble. There are stories of miraculous cures using Lourdes water and visitations from Mary that left the storyteller healed of cancer, or gave them the ability to heal others. A woman in a car accident reports feeling Mary's comforting presence while awaiting help. A father hears the words, "Go Now" and sees his daughter's name highlighted on a billboard. Had he ignored the message, his daughter would have died. Separately, these stories would seem to be odd, third-hand tales, shared around a dinner table or told at Sunday school. Together; however, these stories told by ordinary people form a powerful message of love, faith, and devotion.
